Default Long trip advice

so I am driving from Houston to Phoenix, staying three months then driving back on my 600RR(2004). I guess I'm just asking if anyone has any tips or advice for such a long drive. its 1209 miles and rougly 18 or 19 hours at the speed limit(which come on I'm not going to drive 65 the WHOLE way [8D] ). So any suggestions, I leave tuesday the 10th!!?
Thanks in advance.

Ya, rent a tricked out econoline and tow the bad boy. If the 600RR is anything like the 1000RR your a$$ is gonna be sore. Only advice I can offer is to make frequent stops ... don't ride if you're too tired ... keep hydrated.

Good luck --- you gots ***** to make that trip.

Hey I just made a trip from VA to Tx and the ride isn't that bad. I recommend you get your I-POD so you wont get fatigued and it will make the ride a little bit better. You will average about 140-160 MPG. It will get cold at night so if you stop make sure you pull your bike in the room with you. Good luck and let us know how you came out. I plan on going back to Texas this summer. Maybe I will see you.

Well I made the trip okay, way too cold to drive at night so it took 2 or so afternoons of driving. The only misshap I had was i stopped to fix my back pack and the kick stand popped up and the bike fell. I caught it but it still rested on the ground. Broke the very edge of my pedal off [:@]... o well Im going to get it fixed, no scratches from it so im happy. took it up to 130 something then slowed it down. Im a pansy for cops after all the tickets i had. avg speed probally around 90 or so.

Did you roll your bike into your hotel room? When I do road trips I always get a floor level room so I can roll my bike in. I find I sleep much better knowing it's not outside where the baddies can get at her. I always bring along a beach towel to roll it on...that way the hotel folks don't know it was in there...no tire marky marks
