Default Spectacular South Africa Tour 2019

So, as luck would have it, I have been asked to lead a 21 day motorcycle tour for 4,500km through South Africa.

All packed, and about to head off for the start of three flights and 24 hours of travel to get to Cape Town for the start on the 8th of October.

And the hardest part......................saying goodbye to my beautiful pooch Max for the duration.

Cathy and my folks will be looking after the big galoot for the next three weeks.

I'll attempt to post a few photos and descriptions of the days events.

Cheers, SB

Boy was that a long trip. Three flights half way around the world. Now in Cape Town getting ready for the tour.

Well, back home after 4,400km throughout South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland. I'll post some pictures when I get a chance, meanwhile there's this. Playground racing. I definitely had him on the inside line.......

What a nice idea to do with old bikes! What kid wouldn't like to hop on board?

Ok, some photos;

The start, the day before we got our bikes.

All BMW GS's, 750s, 850s and 1200s. Stopped at one of the many, many roadworks.

Wild beasts at Addo Elephant Park

But good for motorcycles!

Except perhaps this one which was dropped on a very steep downhill section - here straightening the bent rear brake lever the following morning. And no, it was not me!

More pictures later.

Cheers, SB
