New Race Bike For Next Year
As some of you already know, I've been racing an older F2 for a little bit, in MCRA, and am now moving on to some newer machinery - I've made a deposit on the new machine, and need to sell the F2 race bike, so I can focus the funds on the new bike!
If any of you know someone looking for a well-built, fully ready-to-race machine, for a track day bike, first race bike, or something to run in a "vintage" class, like WERA V7, CCS Classic, or CMRA Classic, PLEASE point them to my Cbrforum.com "for sale" thread! :icon_beerchug: CBR600F2 Race Bike For Sale For those of you that might not be familiar with the F2, though they are older, they are indeed amazing machines! They have bulletproof motors with tractable power, a very stable chassis, and are very forgiving of rider mistakes, making it a decent choice for someone looking to get started on the track, BUT, this bike is really well equipped, so it can serve one well past the beginner stage! https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3876/...4ebc118c_z.jpg https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2901/...ea374800_b.jpg |
Woohoo! The F2 race bike is sold, so I can make a big dent in the remaining cost of the new bike! :D
|
Hope you got a good price for the old F2 JNS.
Is the new race bike a Honda? :) or are we gonna have to :icon_slap2: :D |
Yup, I want to know what the new steed will be!

I sold it for $2000, but even if I tried to sell it for $500 to $1000 more, I would still be in the hole considerably, as I built this bike, and have loads of money in it... my fear of marking it higher, was that it might not sell fast enough. So, it is what it is, but now I can make a $2000 dent in the remaining cost of the new bike. |

Pretty welds on the exhaust. What kind is it?
I can see: Aftermarket rotors front and rear SS lines front and rear (love the reservoir delete btw!) Stomp grips Sliders. radiator guard. Is that a radial M/C? Can't quite tell... So, what am I missing. GIVE US THE DETES! |

It's a full LeoVince SBK system, with a shortened slip-on.
Yup, it's an Apex radial M/C and lever - other stuff includes:
Oh, so it's basically stock then...... Haha just kidding (obviously), that is sahweet! I didn't have the 600rr for too long, but I had it long enough to have some fun in it (I had to test it out before I sold it, right?) and I was extremely impressed. It was the first 600 I had ridden since my f3, and while I knew it would be faster, I was surprised by how much so. And it was basically stock minus an end can. So I bet youll love the HRC internals. And the spares list is impressive! |

With that said, I've no doubt that the RR is probably quite light - it's 40 lb. heavier wet than my F2 currently is, but that's STOCK wet weight - with the components I know of alone, and the race bodywork with superbike tail/foam seat, it's gotta be at least as light as my F2, but likely a little more, and you know me, I will FIND more weight to drop, I guarantee it! :D So, let's pretend it weighs the same - stock RR to my F2 is already worth about 12hp more at the rear wheel, and this baby's got another 16 beyond that so I'm expecting to feel quite the difference. |
