Wet roads. What do you change?
 

What do you guys do different when it comes to a fresh wet road? You first pass it and it was dry, then you come back through and it was wet. How much do you reduce your speed? What do you change?

Im still wary about the grip, but would like to hear some stories.

Matters what tires I am running. Typically I go the speed limit nothing past it depending on conditions. Also I keep a good eye ahead since reaction time and braking time will be decreased. Just play it safe. It's not that bad at all if your mature about how you handle your bike.

I tend go a lil slower, brake a lil sooner, and easier on the take offs. I also tend to stay off the brakes while leaned.

what do i change? my bike stays in the garage instead of getting it out. lol

Less wrist twistin', steady as she goes , brake before turns and look ahead an extra
40 feet for peeps (cagers) braking hard ....... your braking distance has now doubled

i was afraid of the wet road but when i went out it felt good. to my surprise the bike handled very well and almost the same as dry road. i made sure i was at lower speed on corners and did brake sooner than normal.

i think you will figure out where and when you have to break. its your bike and you have to feel her out on your own.

Like the others said, if I can avoid it I keep the bike at home. But I've been caught somewhere away from home in the rain and had to make the trip.

Go speed limit or maybe even 5 less. I try to keep the bike as upright as possible. I brake as gradually as I can, and prepare for turns well in advance. Just avoid being aggressive and you'll be fine, its not like water will magically throw you down cause you're on a bike

I usually do what many other people are saying too but I also hang off the bike a bit more so the bike can stay more upright. If you hang off the bike a little more, you can keep the bike upright and still make tighter turns.

i know, right? I check the weather constantly. If i'm going riding and it looks like it could rain or not rain, i have like 3 places i check. tv, internet, and phone app. lol I'm getting pretty good at guessing it right.
