Everyone says smooth is fast. How would you define smooth when riding? What kinds of things can help you be smooth?

i would define it as being loose on the bars, and stable your lower body too when it matters like in a corner. stick the turn and let the bike do its thing.
and most importantly a good control of the front brake in trail braking and throttle during those very delicate moments.
the bike will do everything fine without you for the most part, you need to be there to point it in the right direction, in my opinion.

or just do this..
there are some rough transitions but he's pretty smooth when leaned over a bit
actually don't do that. its casey stoner and only he can ride like himself lol
