clutchless gearchange

hi all,

i was just wondering does anybody ever change gear without the clutch?

There was a long thread about this not too long ago. Power shifting and clutchless shifting are not the same but it sort of evolved from one to the other.

Power Shifting / Clutchless Shifting

the only time i dont search first and somebody finds it straight away:icon_wink:

i just read through it all, it was clutchless i was on about, i was out on my bike the other day and done it a couple times while high up in the revs and just wondered if many people do it?

thanks for showing that tread, i dont think i will make a habbit of it!!

it happens.

75% of my upshifts and maybe 25% of my downshifts are clutchless. Cause it's fun.

PlayfulGod 08-18-2010 04:06 PM

all upshifts :)

revilingfool 08-19-2010 03:44 PM

maybe on the dirtbike, but have never done it on the street machine

Deltemis 08-20-2010 02:34 AM

upshifts only, though i won't do it for a mile or 2 when first starting the bike as oil has to warm up

Yea put me down as a culprit , deff do it upshifting when in the high rpms, Find it shifts smoother that way when thrashing it,just have to let off a bit and click it up, have to be a little more careful when downshifting though.
