Here is something to think about.... I would pull away from Hyabusas in the curves when I lived in Japan. Oh, and I was riding an NC30... a 400cc VFR!

My personal feeling on this is that the smaller displacement bikes give more feedback. You can "feel" them going fast. Not so much with the full liter bikes. They just go really fast, really fast. I'll stick with the middleweights. I'm not into setting any land speed records anyway.

To be honest if the 1k was even an option, I'd jump on it in a heartbeat!

and unless you rode a new age 1000 dont compare the handling capability to a 600, my 1000rr is more balanced and just has flickable as my 600 was. But i loved my 600 too, just comes down to do you want the extra power or not.

You know that bike is a prototype RC212V, right? Not a 1000RR.

Moto gp are 800cc if I'm not mistaken, next year will be 1000cc.

I was checking your introduction on this thread and you mention some of the adventures like riding in snow and across streams!?...
Ok, hopefully you have that sorted by now and are trying to decide between a 6 or a liter bike.
First I'll say if you DON'T have that sorted stick with what you have been lucky on -but if so along with the advice you have already I would say consider the 1000 is MUCH more powerful. You can get a lot of OH S#!^ moments if you dont pay constant attention to what you are doing, road conditions and everything else. Downshift and "hit it" and you'd better be REAL sure of what your'e doing. At some point the bike is faster and quicker than you.No debate on that.
But I absolutely would have a 1000 over a 600. I love the acceration capability and even being an experienced rider, I still get those times when I ask myself,"what just happened". A good liter bike will do 85 in 6th gear and beg for more. Smooth as silk with plenty on immediate tap. Hell they'll do 100 with no effort...be careful, consider what you want to do....and dont ride in snow
