I might not wear a jacket every ride but I def. never forget the helmet or gloves. Those two things tend to be the first things hitting the ground. That an both protect from things other than hitting the ground. i.e. rocks, rain, bugs.ect

 

i wear helmet, jacket, gloves, jeans, steel toed boots and i ride in phoenix, az where it was 116 degrees today. dunno why if u wear a helmet and gloves might as well throw on the jacket. it'll help keep bare skin off the pavement.

 

You need more options.

Every day i wear full gauntlet gloves, leather jacket, boots on tight, helmet, icon leg armor and jeans. Next up is a real pair of riding boots.

 

I was thinking of putting more options in but wanted to limit it in order to zero in on that gear. I've been talking with people and heard many combinations. Thanks for the replies - keep 'em comin'!!

 

Yea, need more options. I think you will find 100% both. You might try: Jacket and gloves
Jacket, gloves, boots
Jacket, gloves, boots, pants.

 

i had someone ram my back tire about three weeks ago so i wear gloves,boots,helmet,jacket and pants.and it is like 95 in st louis,but i had to learn the hard way.got rashed over 80%of my stomach,both legs,both knees,both arms,back,broke toe,and broke and dislocated shoulder.so yes i wear my ****
