Default Shoei X-11

I got my X-11 maybe a month ago. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experience the problem of wind making it's way into the helmet because of the visor and the upper seal on the helmet (close to the top vent) not meeting. Even with all vents closed I still get wind coming right into my left eye. When I first got my helmet this did not seem to be an issue. Now it's to the point where it makes my eyes water. I'm calling Shoei today. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same issues. This is a great helmet as far as wind buffetting, weight and comfort. But this wind thing will make me get rid of it....quickly.

Well, I've called Shoei and found out that the visor is completely adjustable. I had no idea and feel like a complete squid. Anyway, I've adjusted the visor and it seems to seal completely now. I'll be testing the helmet at lunch time. Hopefully I get no wind.

Was about to suggest you try adjusting it but you beat me to it. How do you like your Shoei? I had or I still have the RF-1000 but switched to the X-11 about 3-4 weeks ago and that is all I wear - love it!

Istill have the RF-1000 but switched to the X-11
How does the fit of the X11 compare to the RF1000? Does the X11 seem longer or is it only partially longer but not enough to notice?

How is the fog issue on the Shoei helmets?

My old RF800 is very round and that means the face shield is really close to my shield and it fog every time I take a breath. Does the X11 suffer the same fate?

If my X-11 starts to fog (which doesn't happen much) i just open the bottom vent. problem solved. The vents on this helmet are so perfectly placed and engineered you feel and hear the difference everytime you open or close one.

Haven't had any fogging issues with the X-11, minor ones with the RF-1000. Comfort level is greater with the X-11 - better padding and lighter. Being that I've only owned Shoei I can't compare to other brands but with what I've seen from Shoei's top model (X-11) I won't be switching any time soon. If the X-11 is longer than the RF-1000 it isn't noticable.
