Need a new helmet... Any recommendations
Was wearing an small HJC CL-15 for a while and it was comfortable enough but anything over 100mph it would really start to raise up. This is/ was my first and only helmet, but after laying my bike down, insurance is covering my jacket and helmet cost so I am looking to upgrade. Something a little quieter would be nice too. I am kinda thinking about a Shoei, but no idea on which one or size. My girlfriend has the same HJC helmet in an XS and it fits but feels pretty tight... Thanks for any advice.

hey doc, check on the feedback i got on my post on helmet sizing -> https://cbrforum.com/m_471343/tm.htm
Also, when I was looking around at helmets I tried on a few different brands - and noticed huge differences. The Arai feels like it's meant more for an oval shaped head, the AGV was very comfortable, the HBC felt like it was meant more for a round head but i coudn't put my glasses on in the helmet. In the end I've decided to go with the Shoei X-Eleven (I liked the XR-1000 as well but the pads don't feel as nice). I would suggest you try on as many brands as you can until you find the one that fits your head the best, and go with a tight fit but not so tight it hurts or is uncomfortable.

HTTP://WWW.webbikeworld.com has some really good reviews on helmets, and on proper fit and sizing check them out.
I am actually contemplating the new HJC FS-10, but WBW didn't give it a very good review, however, Cycle World named it helmet of the month for Feb 2008 (announced on the Jan issue)

Stay away from the Scorpion EXO 1000.
The vents are retarded (I can't feel *anything* at 30 MPH), and while the anti-fogging is pretty good, the visor tends to get sweaty.
Also, they made the helmet huge (bubble head) to make room for the flip-up visor feature (mirror tends look cooler anyway), so you're look rediculous wearing it.
Also, bits of it started to come loose on mine so I had to glue them back in place.
And the pump-up cheek pads are a half-assed feature that aren't nearly as good as what a good set of custom pads are.
PS, get an Arai a Shoei, but try one all the models first. They're only slightly more than the EXO1000, at least for solid colors.
