Anyone have any Idea's how to lessen Helmet noise??

I wear ear plugs but its still dreadful

Its not a cheap cheap helmet but not an expensive one either, its a flip up as I use it for commutting.

Shall I look at another full face helmet for non commuting??

Anyone recommend a helmet that's between 100- 200 pounds that is fairly quiet and light??

Flip ups imo are a bit noisier always ... one tip always leave your visor cracked open a
hair ....it helps a bit , for long highway runs ....wear good ear plugs , I use my gun
range ones ( good quality) and it's a great help

 

+1 on the flip ups - very noisy - even expensive ones like Shoei. Heavy too.
I had one (Shoei)and rode with it for 10 miles and sold it it was that bad compared to even a moderately noisy fullface.
HJC are good for the money, (as good as my Shoei/Arai for noise and comfort) and I hear the Scorpion can be found at the right price.
Depends on the shape of your head which will fit best-
