Default Just got the old girl serviced....

Just picked up the old girl from my favorite local shop. I just had both brakes flushed and filled, and the clutch fluid, too. I was having an intermittent issue with the clutch slipping right when it hit the powerband at 7k. It didn't happen all the time, which led me to believe it wasn't really a clutch problem, per se'. Well, the shop told me the fluid in there was like peanut butter in the bottom and they had to completely clean it out. I'm glad I took it in rather than trying to do it myself. I'd have to buy the tools and then the time it would take me to do it. For $80 they did all 3. I'd say that's a bargain. I dropped it off yesterday after work and they called me today to say it's done. I rode it home and jumped on it several times in different gears. NO more slipping! It's awesome. I bought the bike with just under 7k miles on it......put a little over 4k on it since I bought it, so it's got 11k on it now. I wanted to get it ready because I'm taking it on it's first multi day trip this May from Chicago to Arkansas. I can't wait. Here she is on my back driveway today. It's "brisk" here in Chicago today....under 30 when I picked it up.

I love seeing sch tidy examples of older bikes.

Its a shame to see so many that are treated like crap and not looked after because 'its old anyway'

I'm pretty proud of it. It's a do-all bike...truly.

She looks fab! I love the silver colours on the Hurricane.

I'm surprised she doesn't have the original cans considering the mileage is so low, is it a single sided system or twin?

The guy I bought it from dropped it in front his house and scratched the hell out of the right side exhaust, so I bought those Delkevic mufflers. They sound nice, and in my opinion, look better than the stock ones. It's dual exhaust still. I sold the good parts of my stock exhaust and recovered over $100 on that, so not a bad deal.
