Vega Nitro Matrix Motorcycle Boots (Men's)

These:

Excuse my language, but there is no other way to convery this: these are absolute worthless pieces of s***. They are so bad, that I'm actually bothering to post it on the forum.

I bought these (not for that price, thank God) brand new, before I even had my bike (I was picking it up the following weekend). I got them, tried them on, they fit nice, and the way the laces work makes them quick to get on and off. I wore them out for a night, and my feet stayed comfortable for about 6 hours.

The next time I wore them was for my MSF class. As many of you know, this is about 28 hours of intensive motorcycle training, with about 2/3 of that being actual riding. They fit the foot nice, and I was able to feel all the levers ok, so thats fine. The first "riding day" was nice until about lunch, then some heavy rain on and off the rest of the day. I know water isn't good for leather shoes in general, but it's not like I had them at the bottom of a lake for a day. I got home and took them off, and noticed that from only about 3 hours of wet riding, the seams at the toes were starting to come undone, and I had lost 4 of the metal rivets on the sides. Mind you, I didn't have anything eventful happen, like falling off the bike, sliding, etc. This was a day of getting used to the clutch, and putting around in 1st gear.

The second day was HEAVY rain, all day. I actually ended up taking the driving test in a torrential downpour, with very low facemask visibility. I passed, and yes I'm bragging ;). When I got the shoes off by the end of THAT day, they looked like the were as old as my bike ('96). I used them for about 4 days of heavy riding after that, and enarly all of the rivets were missing by that point, and all the seams were threading out. I pitched the stupid things after that, simply out of fear that I was going to lose a sole while riding. No one should ever have such a ridiculous fear.
