Default RE: tires

will not go wrong with any of them...throwing into the bunch pilot powers and pirelli diablos.

qualifiers just came out and does have 'newer' technology than the M1s, so i'd choose any of those three over M1s...so would be like this...

qualifiers, pp, and M3s...then diablos, then M1s.

Go with the M3's if you go Metzler.

I have Pilot Powers and love them.

Some say they will slime up on really hot trackdays, but I am on my second set on the street and havent had any problems on the hottest of days on the twistiest of roads.

To throw another variable in, the Diablo III's should be coming out soon (just read a UK review). They will be a tri-compound (or dual compound). The center is supposed to be the same compound as the current Diablo, but the sides will be stickier.

I have the Q's now from the 208ZR's. Havent had them to the track yet, but so far they seem really good. Far more front end feedback than with the 208 and seemingly very good grip. Again, this is at street pace so they are no doubt not to optimal operating temp, but stick hard as hell.
My brother had the M-1's on his CBR1000F and they didnt stick for ****. He could spin them all day exiting any corner in the lower 3 gears. He called Metzler and the rep told him that his bike may be too heavy when coupled with the power for those tires to hold very well on his bike. He runs Diablo Corsa's on his GSX-R1K now and they stick like mad.

I had Sportec M-1's on my old f4i and I liked them a lot. I have Battlax's on my 954 which I like but they need to be replaced (short center tread life) and I was contemplating re-trying Pilot Power's but am nervous about getting them from my last experience with them...
