R&G Crash Kit & Case Sliders

-Why you decided to purchase the product -
I needed protection for the CBR just in case I ever crash *knock on wood*. I did my research and some of the most praised protection include woodcraft, motovation, and r&g. I wanted no cuts and it has been said that r&g was the best. -Where you bought it from - Different Vendors -Price - Crash kit with offset cotton reel spools: $305 Engine Sliders: $60 each -Did the product meet your expectations? How/Why? The products are quality. They look great and seem to offer great protection. Only a crash will tell how well these will hold up, but I am not willing to test that out for you guys, lol. I did drop my bike when I first started in the driveway, the sliders prevented any damage to the fairings. I know they are frame sliders, but its nice to have a secondary function of fairing protectors. The installation was a breeze, but they do not include torque specs. I did sell the front fork sliders however, since I did not like how they looked, but they did seem like quality. -Would you recommend the product to others? I recommend this to others without a doubt. They are a little expensive and no-cuts are cheaper, but this was the option I liked. R&G has great stuff and priced really well. I might get their case savers in the future since they are suppose to work with their crash kit, wish I bought it with them, but oh well. Like I said, these are good stuff. -Would you buy it again? I would buy again easily. Not sure if I would get the crash kit since it comes with the fork sliders which I do not like how they look. I kind of want rizoma bar ends after the fact, but these bar ends still look great. Now on to the pics. Once again, I apologize for crappy camera and quality. A bunch of stuff needing to be installed! Attachment 48729 Here are the bar ends, also note that they do not seem heavier than the stock ones, but I do not have a digital scale to verify this claim: Attachment 48730 Some comparison pics with stock, as you can see, the slider is what makes the length difference. Stock is on the right: Attachment 48731 Attachment 48732 Here they are on and a comparison with stock: Attachment 48733 Attachment 48734 Offset cotton reel spools, you have to remove the chain adjuster to put them in, but I love how they look and there is no risk of damaging the frame that might happen with standard swing arm spools: Attachment 48735 Attachment 48736 Here they are lifting the bike: Attachment 48737 Attachment 48738 Here are the frame sliders, the bracket looks super beefy, they also have a groove or whatever, to give extra bracing, sorry can't explain it well, hopefully you can see it in the pic: Attachment 48739 Right side case slider: Attachment 48740 Don't have a picture of the left case slider on me right now, I have it somewhere, but here is everything on: Right case slider and frame slider: Attachment 48741 Attachment 48742 One before the case slider Attachment 48743 Left engine case slider and frame slider: Attachment 48744 Attachment 48745 |
