Default Opinion on chain mfg brands

OK, I'm scouting out what the favourite chain brand is, and feel free to say why, conversly, if you have had a horrid experience wth a chain, you might as well voice your opinion here too..

I'm just getting confused by all the differant makes, each with 5-10 types of 530 chain.. I want a chain that will last a long time, yet not break the bank account.. I personally am leaning toward DID and EK, next is Tsubaki and RK.. .let me know the seal type and model chain you guys are all using.. I'm willing to spend up to 100 USD before shipping on ebay

The different types of chains within each brand is just a rating of strength. Don't buy a cheap chain or you'll be buying another one.

DID is great. RK is excellent also. EK is a pile of dog**** -- I stretched 2 of them out of spec on an unmodified Busa.

Yep D.i.D all the way, always prefered there stuff for wear rates, my original chain on the 1000RR hasn`t needed adjusting in 8000 miles to accomodate any stretch other than wheels off for new tyres, and it gets a good beating too.

well, i guess I'll keep my eyes peeled for a DID chain on egay, failing that I'll go for an RK... I'll probably change chains in a few months

I recommend a sprocket change too if, not necessarily different teeth just new if you are going to spend the cash on a PRO DID

not a good idea to install a new aftermarket chain on old stock sprockets. try a diff gearing if you have a late model honda..
Afam sprockets are the way to go. if not, just make sure it is steel or HARD ANODIZED aluminum.
