Motorcycle carrier
Hey guys,
So im about to move cross country and dont have enough room in my truck for both my belongings and my bike so looking at alternatives. Heavy Duty Motorcycle Carrier - Joe Hauler Deluxe Heavy Duty Cam-Loc saw this and am curious if any of you have used these or hear of anyone using one. If so how are they reliable on long distance, is it worth it or should i just rent a trailer to tow the bike. Last thing i want is to loss my bike on the interstate because these things are garbage. |
Probably get better gas mileage with a regular trailer.
I've never used one of the hitch-mount carriers, so can't really comment, though. Personally, For less money, you could find a regular trailer on Craiglist. You'd have extra room to pack stuff and would be fairly easy to re-sell at your final destination. Especially, if you amortize some of the original purchase cost into your asking price on the back-end. Ern |
I would just rent a U-Haul trailer or pay a transport company. That is far too expensive for something you would rarely use.

i would definitely save some money and just buy a trailer. personally i get one off harbor freight. dont know about you but around here people on CL overprice the crap out of trailers. the HF ones pretty cheap and has really good reviews.

I agree with the Craigslist trailer idea and a $40 chock from harbor freight.

Sounds like someone needs to learn how to adjust the tire chock correctly. I trailered mine over 7000 miles and my rotor doesn't even come close to the chock.

I had mine shipped from Utah to Atlanta. 1800+ miles. cost 700.00
