RE: ebay helmets any good?
Hey, it's your head. You don't even have to wear a helmet. Personally, I wouldn't feel comfortable buying a no-namer without a strong reputation built to support it. I would not buy it. Of all the things to be cheap about haha...

RE: ebay helmets any good?
Yea i personally would not wear that, a helmet is just one of those things you dont go cheap on. I can also pretty much guarantee you it will not be comfortable or quiet. If you need to save, check out some cycle sites and hit up the clearance areas, at least get a cheaper brand name helmet, you can probably find a HJC or something on clearance for 100-150 bucks, it will be 100 times better.

I would suggest the scorpion EXO 400 or 700. You can get them for pretty cheap too and they are comfortable.

Yeah man, dont cheap on the helmet. It's $30 for a reason. Also you definately want something DOT and SNELL approved. You can get great deals on Ebay though. I saved about $50 on a new HJC helmet.

If it's DOT-approved, it will give you decent protection in a crash, but a cheapie helmet will probably be heavy, noisy, and not aerodynamic at high speed, no ventilation, fogged up visor, etc.
I found a Scorpion EXO-700 on ebay for $127 shipped, and I'm very happy with it. |

+1 on the hjc, they are a cheap but decent helmet and will protect your noggin just fine

LOLOLOLOLOL!!! its actually called WOOOOOW?????!!!!!! HAHAHA, i thought it was just an attention getting word in the title...the brand is actually "wow!" thats hilarious...
its your life dude...if youre that haphazard, cheap, and apathetic of your life, then go for it...dont be cheap...buying a helmet from a more reputable company is only 150-500+ now a days...its a one time dealie every 3-4 years or so...to tell you the truth, i wouldnt even rock that at that track with my car...just because i wouldnt trust that thing against my cage; let alone riding... |
