Cortech DSX Jeans

I wanted to let everyone know about a possible packaging flaw with Cortech's DSX jeans that you might encounter. I have no idea how long it has been going on for, but I will explain. Last year about this time I ordered a set of these jeans and they arrived perfectly and everything was correct. Well I went on a diet and needed to order a new set of jeans this year and was so happy with them, I ordered another set of them.

The jeans arrived last week from Motorcycle-Superstore, which is where I purchased my last set actually. When I got them in I noticed something different. The knee armor was missing the velcro that is supposed to be sewn on the front side of them. This velco attaches inside the pocket where the knee pad is supposed to sit and therefore, be adjusted vertically so it sits in the correct position when sitting on your bike depending on your knees are. I called up Motorcycle-Superstore, who had no clue what I was talking about, but gave me the number to their distributor, Helmet House.

With a quick phone call to them I informed the lady what I was talking about and she knew exactly what it was and informed me they should come sewed in from the factory and they were unaware of any product line changes. She asked for my number to get back with me as they were going to check their stock and compare and also asked if I could email a picture of the old ones vs the new. I did so and she got back with me the next day after talking to their warranty department and cortech. Informed me they were looking for a new set of knee armor to send as appartently there was a mistake made somewhere along the lines. She was very helpful and thanked me for calling this in because they were unaware of the situation. They sent out new knee armor and I just got them today and they were sent last thursday. Helmet House has great customer support for being a distributor and would like to thank them for it.

So I guess if anyone on the board has ordered a pair recently and maybe did not know they were supposed to come with velcro sewn on, you may want to call where you purchased them from and inform them of the mistake. Like I said, I have no idea if this was just a screwed up batch or how long it has happened for, but this is just a heads up for anyone looking at purchasing them.
