High pitch tone near/around tank
Hi all
New to the forum and looking for some advice. I've recently bought a 2017 Honda CBR 125R, had it about 4 weeks and loving it. Done around 400 miles (bought with 1600 on the clock) and in the past week I've noticed a very, very high pitched tone from around or underneath the tank. This tone is only there when the engine is started. So, when I put the ignition on I can hear the fuel pump engage, every thing is fine, then I start the engine and this tone is there. It doesn't appear to change, There is no noticeable issues, bike rides fine. I'm tempted to take to a local Honda dealer to see if they wouldn't mind taking a look but I'm sure Honda only provide 1 yrs warranty. Does anyone have any idea's. My brother has taken a look and thought it might be the rectifier but he thinks that fine. So something around the fuel pump. Many thanks in advance. |
A bike that new probably has a warranty. I'd run it back to Honda for a checkup
If I had to guess, I'd go with water pump, or maybe electric fan, but if it were the fan, it would only show up when the bike is hot Horn maybe? |
