cbr 125r modifications

I am a newbie to this stuff so if I dont post something properly I'll apologize now.
I just bought a 2007 cbr 125rw for communiting back and forth to work.
Should be fun and much better than a scooter!
So I'm wondering what modifications can be made to the bike without voiding the warranty.
Back in the day I owned a Suzuki GL650GLZ so the lack of power may be an issue with this bike.
Any comments or ideas out there?

You need to post this in the technical section - if there are modifications or "go faster goodies" that's where they'll be !

Welcome to the Forum :)

ok, basic and quick tune-ups for a cbr 125r.

well iv got a cbr 125, and have had it for over 2 years. the best mods you can make, without making void on your insurance are :-

Better Spark Plug (NGK iridium x, cr9ix or cr9eix, it was one of these two),

racing or high proformance oil, if you do motorway miles instead of through town (castrol),

high octain fuel(shell vpower, bp ultimate, depends where you live in the world)

High flow air filter (K&N)

bridgestone or continental tires for great grip in corners obviously.

and go on a diet lol, much better power to weight ratio.

Hattonman,,Welcome to the site.Since this site is generally about U.S. bikes(CBR 125R`s not avaliable in U.S.) You can go to www.cbr125r.ca and get lots of info on how to modify your CBR. These bikea have been in Canada since 2007 so all the ones sold there are the E.F.I. versions.:icon_santawaving:

There are a few Big Bore and stroker kits available. 160cc, 176cc etc. You can even bolt the 4 valve CBR 150 Head right onto the CBR 125 Engine.
