2011 CBR125R temp gauge issue
Hi all, been a member here for a while from when I had my old CBR600f. My first post as I just can’t find any info on the issue we have.
I’m at my wits end with my daughter’s 2011 fuel injected CBR125R.
When she bought it the previous owner stated that the coolant temperature sensor was faulty and causing the digital temperature gauge to read high.
I eventually ordered one and got round to replacing it but no change, as soon as you turn on the ignition the gauge steps up to max and starts flashing. So you’d think some form or wiring issue.
I happen to have a full wiring harness (part of the reason we went for a CBR is my son had one a while back and I still have loads of spares from then) so I run that in and connect up enough to start the bike. But no change, I even have a spare ECU so connected that up (cause you never know) still no change.
if the sensor is not connected the gauge stays empty and the engine management light come on.
the only thing I can think of now is an issue with the clocks?
has anyone seen anything like this before?
I’d greatly appreciate any thoughts on the issue or other possible causes.
thanks
