180-55/17 tire compatibility

hi,

sir, just an inquiry,, i saw a CBR 150 Fi 2012 model with a tire size of 180-55/17,, can you atleast tell me what is the size of the MAGS that suits the tire, also what should be the size of the swing arm?? i got the same bike,, i just want the same size of tires but i think hes using a different mags and swing arm,, im not upto speed i need the safety,,

p.s: my email is michie.albio09@gmail.com can also pm some suggestions; thanks!!

Welcome to CBRF.

The interwebs says that your bike comes with a 130 section tire, so I'm assuming you have a 3 or 3.5 inch wide rear rim. A 180 fits best on a 5.5 inch rim.

That's just to give you an idea.

There's no way you could pop a 180 onto a 3.5 inch tire. And I'd comfortably say that you can't fit that size rim on your swingarm

thanks for that information sir verry helpfull for a newbie like me

so, can you suggest a swing arm and mags that is compatible with my cbr 150 fi that suits 180-55/17 tire?? even if it came from a different kind of bike heheh,,

Hmm, don't know. You'd need to figure out the width of the frame where the pivot bolt lines up, how the shock link works, etc.

Then you can choose a swingarm, then a rim.

Then you need to center the rim, then align your sprockets and rotor.
