Wave back? wth? I mean I'ma just start flicking them off. Its not like they can catch me.

 

Some will, some won't. I wouldn't worry about it. I also wouldn't deliberately antagonize them, since they like to travel in packs, and most Harley riders are ticking timb bombs due to severe sexual repression and midlife crisis issues

My gf rides a Harley, we get some strange looks when we go riding together. But between the two of us we get waves from everybody

 

I was just joking I'm not gonna go out and look for a fight I was just wondering what the deal was. Seems like just about every sportbike rider I see I get the wave.

 

Some Sport bike riders HATE the Harley guys, Some Harley guys HATE the sport bike type. To me, we are all in the same danger, I wave at everyone...

 

The Harley guys are afraid to let go and wave because they're holding some part on that is about to fall off.

I wave at them all, though.

 

I find the nod gets more responses than the wave.

 

Its not too big of a deal where I'm from. Everybody that rides waves 90% of the time unless they are turning or something. Heck i even ride with some cruisers. Its all good with me

I get waves from some riders in both groups when I'm on my bicycle. Years ago I used to ride quads(which are looked down upon by many, many motorcyclists) and I would get the occasional wave, there again, from both groups. Some think you don't belong because you don't ride the same type of bike they do. Others are welcoming because you're at least riding something and likely for the same reasons they are.
