BMW Recalls 2012 S1000RR Motorcycles for Loose Connecting Rods
: Due to a manufacturing process error, the connecting rod bolts may become loose during high engine temperatures and/or high engine operating speeds which could result in catastrophic engine damage.

no joke, i had a person i ride with bought a s1000rr and thats exactly what happend to him on the highway. also the manager banged his wife.. crazy divorce and he has to quit riding now

also I would never get a bmw, a 1000rr is more than enough and I'll smoke most of those guys on their little bmw's on the track.

The S10000RR and the 1000RR are pretty similar in size.

Wow, crazy story.

Personally, if I had the money I would buy one in a heartbeat if I was in the market for a 1000.
