Sparkplugs.com specials
SparkPlugs.com is happy to now be a part of the CBRForum.com family, and to kick of the month of December, we'd like to run a few specials for you. We carry every spark plug made by NGK, Denso, Champion, Autolite and Splitfire, what would you like to see us start a special or group buy on?

Spark plugs are something that most of us probably take for granted (I am def one of those riders) and do not see the "gain" in purchasing a more expensive replacement.
So Sparkplugs.com, what are the differences between nickel and iridium (besides $$)? And what about NGK vs. Denso?

RE: Sparkplugs.com specials
Excellent questions. We wrote up a thread on this a few weeks ago: https://cbrforum.com/m_200295/mpage_.../tm.htm#200295
It has detailed technical information on spark plugs and answers a lot of common questions, such as what the difference is between nickel plugs and iridium.
In regards to the NGK vs. Denso question: In summary, you'll learn on that technical thread that the main performance gain from iridium plugs, doesn't actually come from the iridium, its the fine wire center electrode. The thinner the center electrode=less voltage required=fewer misfires=higher mileage and more horsepower.
NGK's iridiums have a .7mm center electrode. Denso's are .4mm. - Its up to you if the extra .3mm is worth the price difference. Other than that, they are both excellent plugs with excellent quality.
