X-box 360
I very nearly bought a 360 yesterday (damn Circuit City), but I heard originally there were some gliches. Does anyone have one, or does everyone on this forum spend too much money on their motorcycles to have any spare money? I thought of waiting until Christmas, but I am afraid they will be sold out for the season. Thoughts, opinions, comments?

RE: X-box 360
I'm too busy riding my bike to worry about game consoles anymore =D
However, I hear the 360 is a pretty awesome machine. Just make sure there are games you want already out or coming down the pipe before you throw down on it. Check out Nintendo's Wii console that is coming out in the next couple of months, it's going to be pretty unique.

microsoft has a full warranty on them. if something goes wrong call them, they send you a box, you drop the 360 in it, send it back. if they cant fix it, you get a new one with your old hard drive in it. there is supposed to be a price cut coming soon with the release of the High Def drives. Premium systems are running for $399 right now, but are rumored to drop to $299 either right before christmas or soon after. This is when i will be picking mine up.

RE: X-box 360
ive got one, the only problem ive had with it has only happened once, maybe twice, but ill be in the middle of a game, and itll stop and give me that "disc unreadable" bullsh*t. but yea, since its only happened a couple times in months and months, i havent worried about it, but figured id let you know. what i do know is as soon as ps3 comes out, im taking the 360 and my games and controller back to trade them towards that

RE: X-box 360
I've had one since the first week they came out and I have never had a problem. I have had friends though who got theirs after New Years and they got the famous "red eye of death" which is where the console just won't turn on any more. The warantee is only for 90 days so make sure you get the extended warantee. Save up your money to buy it, cuz it's worth it. if you have a problem with it, you can get best buy or circuit city or whoever to replace it for you.

RE: X-box 360
Here's an idea, and this is what I'm going to do. The day before PS3 comes out go camp out infront of Best Buy or Circuit City or Walmart whatever I don't care but camp out wherever they will be selling them. When they open the doors sprint to grab 2-3 PS3's and then take them home and sell them on ebay!! I remember when the 360's came out they were going on ebay for like $1000 weren't they? So lets say you make $300 on a PS3 and you sell 2 of them that's $600 which will pay for the 3rd one you bought so you get a PS3 for free!!! Just make sure you have a credit card I hear they're going to be $599 but still the cheapest blue ray disc player by far?

i was debating doing that too. i was saying that since the 360 came out, but you need to be careful they dont flood the market with them. that only works if the demand surpasses the supply. we could start, but i dont want to really get into the processors and 'blu-ray' drives they are using. they are already having TONS of problems with them, and of course, overheating as well. and for $600 just to get the system, yeah right!
i heard the Wii was going to be pretty badass too though. I am just in need of a 360 before Halo 3 comes out!

i bought mine through best buy, 2 year warranty you take it in they fix it in 24hours and return it to you or at teh 24hours they hand you a brand new one. ($50) bucks extra but well worth it. A co-worker bought one and it crapped out he sent it into microsoft and didn't get his back for a good 5-6weeks.
