when i used to live in chicago i would go to michigan all the time. one weekend i was up there in dec and it was cold as hell. i crashed my truck so i had to ride my motorcycle home. 230 miles it was about 40 out and raining like mad.

 

12*F sitting still with the windchill was my coldest last winter. Coldest it's gotten this year so far was this morning.... 23* actual. I don't have a job to go to anymore so I didn't go out until the afternoon, but my roomate rode his F4i to school at 7:30 this morning (25 miles each way). When he got home he said... "I don't think I'll do that again" LOL

I'm ready to go at it again... as long as the roads are clean and clear, I'm riding!

 

I am planning on riding year round. With that in mind anyone here in va, I am planning a new years day ride(bring in the new year right)! Let me know if you want to join me! We can make it a short ride or get enough people we can do a freezeour crazy asses offride!

 

The only problem I have with cold riding is my hands.

 

like 32...bike takes SO long to warm up lol...but underarmor, and the right bundle up and your good for the commute...

 

It gets cold it texas. Just takes longer to take affect. Its nice and 30ish in the mornings.

Rode this past sat in Boston, MA. It was about 30 degrees, but it felt colder with the wind chill. Layered up so felt fine, besides my hands. I bought atomic cold weather gloves but my hands still were cold, but not frozen. Thinking of maybe try to find some thin lining to wear underneath the gloves.

Some friends and I are plannin one last group ride on TDay.
