WoW i hate cold weather! How cold have you ridden?
My husband and I ride all year round ... as long as the roads are dry, we're out! Thermals, under armour cold gear, and winter riding jackets and gloves are all you need. We've been out when it's been in the 20's. (Makes coming home and warming up something to look forward to)

I do look forward to coming home and getting warm. That is half the fun. I come home and put on a pot of coffee or some hot chocolate and sit down in my sweats and warm up in front of the TV.
it was 34 saturday when i went for a nice ride...thats when i got the new avatar

The main thing that sucks about a short commute is it takes longer to get the bike out of the garage and get geared up and strap my lunch box to the passenger seat then it does to get to work. That and my bike gets filthy at work.
you know what this thread is missing?
"Dude, you guys all suck *****. I live in Cali/Texas/somewhere southern with my wife who's also my sister and woowee it never gets below 70 here and you all are inferior to me in every respect"
i hate people that post that junk.

I rode threw Spanish Fork Canyon Utah, one of the most dangerous roads in the country (For cagers anyways) in a snow storm last year.. I don't know how cold it was but I was frozen solid by the time I got home 120 miles later.. I'm wearing electric underwear this winter..
New rider and looking to ride during the non wet/icy winter days. The only prob i have are my gloves. Besides buying the heated gloves any good suggestions for gloves without sacrificing grip/protection?
I heard today that some people wear a pair of rubber gloves underneath their summer gloves, which sounds like a decent workaround...any other ideas?

Well last night for a 10 minute ride it was 20* standing still with a windchill into the teens/single digits. This morning it was 22 with a windchill of 10 for my 30 minute commute. I stay really warm everywhere except my hands, I need heated grips or some better gloves, apparently my "sub zero winter gauntlet" gloves arent enough, my fingers were frozen.
Ride on!
Ride on!
