Congrats man! Thats what the system is for, you got a check WHILE you were trying to get a job and you got one. I know too many people that wait for unemployment to run out and then they look for a job and have the nerve to complain that they are no checks coming in. Anyway congrats man thats awesome!

 

Congrats man! I am just waiting on my background check to go through to start my new job. I have a active DoD Secret clearance already so it is just a matter of time.

It's not bad at all..... about 20 miles from my house, and this place is out in the middle of nowhere, not even 'in' a city, so it's all rural country roads to get there. 2 stop lights and a couple of stop signs.... takes me about 20-25 minutes to get there. So only about 40 miles/day.... she'll still see 200k though, I promise!

Now I could have had a hell of a commute had I gotten one of the jobs I applied for. I was getting desperate, so I applied to Penske Truck Leasing (they had an ad for a diesel tech).... had I gotten that I would have had to drive to Kennesaw everyday.... 62 miles each way. I live in Winder, which is straight east of Atlanta..... Kennesaw is on the north-west side of Atlanta. So not only would it have been a long drive, but I'd also have completely across Atlanta and back every morning and evening. Depending on the time of day, it could easily take me 3 hours to get there. Kinda glad I didn't get that one! [8D]
