Woman and machine in perfect harmony!! NSFW!! (video outtake)

I don't know what it is about my 600RR but I often stall her :icon_shrug: ... I was terrible when I first got it, but much better now!!

It maybe was after my 600F3 which I NEVER stalled ... it's almost as if the RR has a much lighter flywheel or something (it probably has) and
a lack of engine inertia at very low rpm that if you don't have the revs just that couple of hundred RPM high enough, wham another stall ...
it drove me mad when filming sometimes, as the camera would often slip needing readjustment for the correct cockpit and road view ..lol
I think I had stalled about the third time that day ...

One of the many outtakes....

Luckily the helmet and traffic outside noises mask most of what I say.

At least you can laugh about it. My wife started out with an R6 and stalled that bike at least 5 times a day until the day we sold it. ( nothing wrong with it, just no power down low). Then, when she got her 636, she didn't stall it once. I think certain bikes are just more prone to it than others. Especially the newer ones, with less torque down low and higher gears, they can be a bugger to get going sometimes.

Im not trying to critisize, but I've found what helps (with certain bikes) is just as it is started to engage and the motor starts to lug down, increase your throttle a bit more even before you let out on the clutch completely. Which, Im sure you do, just thought I would throw it out there as it sounded like the throttle input didnt change. So you can tell me to shut up if ya want to.:icon_wink:

Jules, it did sound like the revs were a little low at take off, im sure this will go away in short time...leave off alittle more aggressive...yer not the olny one ive heard this from on that bike....peeece

Oh absolutely all advice is welcome here ... I do realise of course I just need to gas it over the F3 a bit more .. I do think it has a lighter flywheel, it's bound to be so far ahead of the F3, also I feel 1st gear is taller than 1st gear on my F3 .. the funny thing is though these new 08 onwards RRs are very torquey once you actually pull away, from just 2-3000rpm is pulls so much harder than the F3 and right through the rev range :-)

I do hate stalling it though as it takes me by surprise and if I am turning out of a junction that is when the bike can lurch forward enough to make me drop it unless I take care.
