wife getting an f4i
wife got approved for a brand spanking new (06) F4i today though Honda, we are gonna go through another place to try to get lower payments...if not we will prolly take the honda deal..just re-evaluating our finances to make sure we can take the honda deal if the other doesnt work...dealer has 2 in stock...a blue/black and a yellow/grey....i want the yellow/grey..wife wants blue/black...its her bike so she gets to choose if we decide to take honda up on the deal if the other doesnt go through..ill prolly tell her go ahead and get it no matter what...even if it means i have to pull a little ot or get a part time job for a little while...what she wants she gets.

RE: wife getting an f4i
Good for you guys. I just hope she doesn't drop the brand new bike like she dropped your 900. I am not trying to be rude, and I can understand how excited she is to get a bike that looks like mine . Is there anyway to get her to try out something used? I just know she is going to chime in and kick my ***, but I think she would have great success on a smaller used bike (to start), then upgrade. My wife was dead set on a brand new Rebel, but I explained that the bike may go over while you are standing still (she has dropped it three times while standing still). We ended up with a used 250 Ninja, and she couldn't be happier. The other thing to think of is depreciation...why pay that money for her first bike? Please don't beat me up Tx_girl! Either way, have fun!

she has her heart set on an f4i, she dropped my 900 b.c technically shes to short for it. shes sat on several bikes and the f4i is the only one shes comfortable with. i dont think its to much bike for her. the 900 is my first and i havent killed myself yet. all the used ones we have found have been abused way to much...we live in a college town ( Univ. of TX at austin) and they have all been abused by college kids plus shes gonna take it easy on it and first thing im doing is putting sliders on it. but thanks for your input voodoo

RE: wife getting an f4i
Needless to say I am thrilled about getting the bike... I have some reservations about my 1st bike being new as well - but for reasons already listed we have decided that perhaps this once a new bike is going to be ok. I have agreed to keep an open mind about the color (he wants yellow, grey - I want blue, black). It's not certain yet that we WILL be getting the bike - nothing is certain until you die, but it looks like a good deal and I'm allowing myself to get a little bouncy over it. Don't worry - if it works out there will be a MASSIVE picture post.
