glad she's ok, voodoo!

if she's still insistent on riding before she takes a class, have her practice in a parking lot.

Wow glad she is alright sounds like a level headed girl if she got back on it. I took my girlfriend to a big *** parking lot to practice for hours on end before i let her go on the street. She would pull up and say "I think i can ride on the street" and would say great keep practicing your turns. Didn't let her take it to the streets till she was getting pissed off. I just wittnessed a guy kill his passenger in first person so i understand that feeling of panic. Not cool.

man, like you said that could've been much worse, but if you want to look at it in a positive light look at it this way: it took a relatively harmless incident right at the start of learning to ride to put that fear we all need in her that can't be taught at any course .. only reality teaches that. My guess is she'll be a better, less risk taking, rider as a result. Glad she's okay.

I'm trying to teach her until the MSF class, but I feel like a total failure. I'm just glad she wasn't really hurt. Thanks guys.

Don't beat yourself up. Sounds like you had her geared up pretty well to come out with only a sprain. kudos.
