Been too busy at work to follow the news carefully lately and I know it's being blamed on Ike and the damaged refineries but why did it only effect the southeast? I just went to 20 gas stations and all but one where out of gas completely (well they say they're out but technically they stop selling when they reach 10,000 gallon reserve) and I ended up spending the last 1 hour and 18 minutes in line waiting to fill up my bike. That was the most fun I've ever had in my life. Atlanta is missing its disco ball from the 70's.

You're kidding!!! you guys run out of gas down there... I've never heard of such a thing.

 

Hey KB everywhere on Peachtree Industrial was out of gas today except for one QT that had regular only...13 gas stations in 6 miles were out of gas before I found one.

Rumor has it the pipeline is opened back up and we should be back in business within a few weeks.

I am so pissed. There is no gas in any gas station in Charlotte, what the hell? which century is this dude?? I am in Charlotte NC and people are parked their cars in the gas station, all the main street is just like a parking lot, people waiting for gas to arrive. Its like people are suffering from hunger and gather around a truck throwing bags of rice. Its scary dude. %20 percent of reduction makes such an effect??? Is there any other state suffering like this? Soon this place will be the freaking china with everybody riding bikes on streets. Well I hope we get some gas soon because there is not a single drop of gas left in my tank.

 

QND, siphon some out of your cars gas tank? If you don't have a drop left I would think I'd rather ride the bike and get better mileage until you can get some more.

Veeps, That is exactly why I haven't been in touch with you to go riding lately. With our perfect weather lately I wanted to get a group ride together but decided against it because I didn't want to get stuck up in the mountains with no way to get gas.

we were out for a few days when the power was down. It was about a week actually, didnt effect me, i have two 6 gallon tanks i fill and keep in the garage when i fill up gas with my GE discount and then use them to fill the bike

It does suck. A week ago, it was like they didn't sell any more than $25 of gas per person. But I didn't think that it would come to this point. I used to buy full tank from sams club but they are out too. Well, let's wait and see. I think I am going to end up buying myself a honda bicycle.
