like many others have said. it's the freedom and quickness. it clears my mind and i like the fact that it is a little bit of a workout. normally guys who ride bikes are in better shape than everyone else. i also love the way they look and sound. eventually i would like to get a chopper and keep the sport bike. that way i would ride whatever i'm in the mood for.

The first time I pulled out on my 600rr took me instantly back to the first time I took Adderall (a methamphetamine) for ADHD when I was a teenager. A feeling of laser-like focus and extreme well-being came over me and it was one of those moments in your life you think, "I was meant to do this". When riding its as if I'm actually part of the bike, with thoughts, reflexes, and synaptic nerve messages instantly translated through the bike...it flawlessly executing my commands, with the underseat exhaust piping out a F1ish scream in response. My bike is my own personal little rocketship and I'm hopelessly addicted to it. I would sell anything and everything I own to support my habit.

all summed it up pretty nice......definitely cornering is a major plus, on the way home from work i ride down Wurzbach, which is an open 4 lane road(2 way) with some sweet turns, there are about 3-4 of them but that is the highlight of my day, riding those turns.

I can't say that I like to ride because I never have. I like bikes because of how they look, sound, and just are bad ***.

I'm asking 'cause my g/f asked me last night and I couldn't give her an answer other than I just like 'em.

So why do you like them?
Eeek.... you're a dangerous person to ride with then... you're in it for the fasion, not the passion. That can make a person a careless rider... Be careful out there!

I don't think that makes him a dangerous rider especially since he's never riden. Before I started riding it was the look of sportsbikes and the gas mileage that got me thinking of them. Once you get on though that passion for riding develops. To me it's the freedom you feel when you riding that makes me want to ride all day everyday.

Its the ride man, When i strap on my timbs and the rest of my gear on and cruise a few minutes into the desert where i can keep that throttle pegged and the RPM's up and the sound of natural music kicks in. Its freedom!!!!

Hey tell your girl to get a bike too...

its all about the feeling. you ride inside a car, but you ride ON a motorcycle. you are part of the world around you instead of looking through the glass. when it's hot, you get hot. when it's cold, you get cold. when it rains, you get wet. you are experiencing the ride and everything that goes with it. in a car, it's all about getting from point A to point B. on a motorcycle, it's the line between the 2 points that matter.

the looks, sound, fuel milage, and speed are all bonuses. but for me it's the feeling, the rush, the emotions that make riding so special.
Couldn't have said it better. I just love the sport and some of the people that you meet. And any other bike you meet, besides the Harley guys, they'll drop their hand to wave. How often does that happen in a car?
