Why do car drivers feel its okay to pull out in front of a motorcycle but wouldn't do
I always look to see if the drivers looking at me and also look at the wheels if I see them moving I think thy not seen me and go for the brake ,and this as held me in good stead over the years
Hello everybody whom reacted to this subject,
I see some very wise reactions and examples that I have seen too.
Now, I really try to be very carefull and also I have an extremely loud and ubnouxious pipe.
Last monday when I finished a service on the bike I was calmly riding to warm the bike up slowly.
Then I wanted to take a left on a 3-way street.
I looked to the left where quite some cars were waiting on the traffic to pass by and I looked at the driver who was looking in my direction.
I came from the right so I'm allowed to go first.
I must have been riding slower than 25km/h because the road had some gravel/ sand in it.
When in was halfway in the turn the car who was looking in my direction just pulled up and hit me.
Now I was fine except for an bruced foot.
The drive said to me she never saw me!!!
I had my headlight on, I had my blinker on, I was sunny, one could see the whole crossing whitout any blockings!
Still to this day I still don't know how I could have prevented it, and it anoys me like *&^$%$#@
So all comments above do provide good advices and reasonable emotions, however I start to think that there is some luck factor involved.
You can help luck to make sure you do what you can to be safe and responsible.
By the way: the bike has over €3800,- of damages and if all parts were available it would have been close to €5000,- of damages.
Now I am going to fix the bike because here a blue/black 954RR is just not available.
AND I LIKE MY BIKE
A LOT!
