Why...
do people where shorts and ride?
I'm from Alaska, born and raised, I live in Indiana now
And when it's 100 degrees with crazy humidity, I still atleast wear a pair of jeans. Not too mention it makes most dudes look pretty stupid with their **** riding up looking like have on short shorts.
morons, if your one of them good luck.
On a more positive side note, I have a new(er) bike, a yellow and black f4i pretty much stock, not for long though. My third sport bike now, and I would have to say its an excellent bike so far, although Ive only rode to the gas station
Also the F3 I had, I put 11k miles on since last febuary. I plan to ride this bike I have now until it snows.
PS Ill post pics of the F4i later but like I said its pretty much stock, nothing too flashy, just happier to be on a FI bike again

I've done it on a couple occasions. Once when my friends and I rented a house by the beach and we rode to the beach and one other time when I was being a bit absent minded. It's kind of exhilarating. That doesn't really excuse lack of gear, but it's easy to understand why people do it. Feels very freeing. I don't do it anymore. In fact, the only jeans I've purchased in the last year have all been kevlar re-enforced jeans. Literally the only pants I ever wear anymore.

I have these now. 1st full Kevlar jeans I've come across. Only 2 downsides:
- The cuffs will catch on the pegs till you get used to them
- Hand wash only

I've used Starider fully lined kevlar jeans for about 3 years now - used to be able to get them for about $110 AUD
Starider Black FULLY Lined Kevlar Motorcycle Jeans | eBay
A little more now at $132 AUD.
And I throw them in the wash when they're dirty.
Cheers, SB

One time I was in a small lake side town on a hot summers day. A couple of guys rode past on sports bikes wearing only beach shorts and flip flops, plus their mandatory helmets. The thing that cracked me up though, was that they were wearing their gloves too. They didn't seem to care too much about the rest of their bodies but their hands were clearly important to them.
