Just download them both - burn a dvd - Install SP1, then run these. Not *too* bad.

You can get a winXP sp2 install cd, and I'm waiting for winxp sp3 to show up in my MSDN. I can't offer you my download of it - but I know if you look in the usual places you'll find it as an .iso. Just make sure you don't download one with a VL in the name (volume licence) as it won't work on your computer.

ALSO if you have an OEM version of XP, then your key won't work with a non-oem winXP installation. This is typical of a vendor installed XP. In that unfortuneate case, you'd have to install with the WinXP cd that came with the computer, then do the updates.

Enjoy.

Either those service packs are bad or are setup up so you cant update once they are installed.

Windows update through IE doesnt work and that little update symbol keeps popping up to download/install a 400kb update but it wont install. Then it just keeps popping up that I need to install it. I have to turn off updates so the damn thing will go away.

I also had to update WMP manually.
