I'm sorry, but I'm going to chime in (finally) about this so-called "new direction" a lot of members have been complaining about lately. NOTHING has changed in the forum rules. If ANYTHING, the moderators and admins have been EXTREMELY forgiving and lenient to our members with content posted on this forum. Compare this forum to ANY other forum out there an you will find this to be true.
Yes, a lot of us are annoyed and absolutely fed up with the complaining about the mods and admins now upholding the rules of the forum more strictly than we have in the past. For years we've been letting members get away with posting near-nude photographs, distasteful videos and extremely controversial material.
All we are doing differently is raising the moderation of upholding the forum rules......up about a notch or two. We aren't saying "don't post", but we don't need another "I'm bored, entertain me" thread. This whole site used to self-moderate itself. Members would moderate other members and that process worked well for a while. But lately, some members have taken advantage of the leniency of the mods and admins and have pushed the boundaries. The problem is we've let it happen for too long and people became used to it and it's become a "normal". All was are doing now is trying to get everyone back on track. This is a motorcycle forum after all.
I understand that members have other members who are friends. That I understand because I have a few myself (What? Foxy has friends?!"). It's fun to talk to your friends......but that's what Chat programs and IM's (even PM's) are for. Making a thread to talk to one another is not a proper way to use CBRForum. Have a question? Want to share a cool video? Want to share an awesome story? GREAT! We all want to hear them. Posting up near-nude pictures of what you did last night, posting extremely controversial (you all know what that is) videos & content is something we would rather take a pass on.
THAT is what this "new direction" is all about. Really, it's nothing. The site is going back to normal. Yes at first it's going to seem like we are "coming down hard", but we really aren't. Hell, I haven't moderated hardly anyone's post or thread (and I accept blame for the site "running wild" so to speak).
We do not want to turn anyone away. Everyone is welcome.........but keep within site rules (which have been here, unaltered since the sites conception) and if you can't say something nice.......don't say it at all. We don't need more jackasses around here, there's already one Foxy......there's not room for 2. So with that being said, all of you can go **** a roo.

^^ Yeah, I've been in "getting my s**t together" mode lately and haven't visited the site as regularly as I probably should. And after coming off of very little sleep......I read the first 2 pages of this thread and became crossed enough to write my 3,000 page rant and now I feel better.
