My point was that it is fine to watch ****, it is fine to avoid watching it. That is a personal decision for people to make. I am fine with whichever they choose. BUT do not tell them they are right or wrong for their decision. I believe the fairytale says to not judge others unless you wish to be judged. So, if one chooses to tell someone else that they are wrong, they should be prepared for the retort. The question asked was "what is your reason for avoiding ****", not why do you judge others who watch it. The thread started out with an explanation of it being someones daughter doing something apparently morally incomprehensible. If someone chooses not to watch because of that, fine. However, to start in and say that those who do partake in the entertainment offered by **** are mindless, sex-crazed heathens is similarly incomprehensible.

That being said, so that I am not an opinionated person who posts with no regard to the actual conversation, I do not avoid ****. However, I watch only with my wife and only when she wants, if she does. It is a good learning tool to try things one might not have known about or even knew they wanted to try it. I do not covet every female I see nor do I have any inappropriate contact outside of my marriage. Why? Because I do respect and love my wife. That is what I signed the paper for, right?

However, I will agree, I would be disappointed if my daughter decided to join the industry as an actress, but she is still my daughter and I would still love her. I just have to believe that I have raised her to be smart and to avoid situations that she is uncomfortable with. After all, once she is 18, it becomes fully her life and I must accept whatever she chooses to do rather than alienating her (or him, I have a son as well) for a choice they made (as long as it is legal!).
