Thank You
Thank You
There are several people on here who know CBR's and motorcyles in general. However this is a free forum. Nobody has to answer anything they want. I do notice that most of the people that get good help when they ask questions do 2 things in common. Most of the people who have questions and get the help they need are regular contributors to the board. Also most of them post the questions they have in the right board. We have a general tech board here: https://cbrforum.com/forumid_6/tt.htm
That board is for any kind of technical, electrical, or mechanical questions. Not trying to be an ***, so please don't take it that way, but I didn't see any posts by you in that forum. If you need help, put it in the right place. Also there is the fact that maybe the people looking at your posts are just guests and not members who have signed up. Also, they might not know the answer to your questions, so instead of posting useless info like "sorry I don't know" they just look at the thread and check back often to see if it's updated. Keep in mind, if you see 50 views on a post, and you have checked it 10 times, then 10 of those views are you. Several people may check the same thread often to see if there is any updates or answers.
Hey Whitetail... Wow... Well I'm not an admin or a mod (nor am I a tech) but I do know that this forum is still growing, and the mods do their damndest to be as helpful and informative as they can be. I don't think statements like this
.... are terribly productive, however. If you come across with an attitude that no one around here knows 'what they're talkin about' they're not going to be real anxious to provide you with assistance.
I'm sorry you're not finding the answers you're looking for, but be patient -- you've only been a member here for 7 days, so I think you're jumpin' the gun just a bit. Give people time to read and research these issues so they can give you a good and ACCURATE answer.
Good luck!
P.S. And don't forget - each time you go view your own thread, you're adding to the hit count... just a thought!

...Please don't take this the wrong way, but many of the questions you're posing are things that would be described in great detail (probably more detail than someone would take the time to go into here) in your owner's manual or factory service manual. If you haven't yet consulted these manuals, you might want to - it will probably save you a lot of frustration and it'll get you better acquainted with your bike.
I was posting in the f4i forum becasue that is the bike i have... i am not tryign to have attitude. i will post in the general tech forum now that i know it is where to get tech info. as far as my comment of people not knowing what they are talkin about...i meant its people like myself who have some information and experience but i hadnt run into someone who sounded like a professinonal...(i hope that makes sense)... i was just wondering if there is a mod or admin or a site tech who i could Private message with help on my questions...
again this thread wasnt meant to be disrespectful. just wondering.. i am a member of many other threads, not neccessarily motorcycle and i know there is usually a hierarchy or power and topic experience. my thread was only meant to figure out that hierarchy..
Thanks Again

I'm not an admin or moderator on this site but I have been here a while. You are not the first one to get frustrated because your questions aren't being answered quickly enough. All I can say is most of us senior members have full time jobs and families -- board questions come significantly after those things. Also take into account that I don't get a penny for answering questions and looking up parts and pieces for other peeps. I do what I do here because I love motorcycles and motorcycling and for the most part enjoy the camraderie of other motorcyclists (especially chicks that pose on Neons bike[8D]).
So, respectfully, I offer you this solution -- if you don't feel your question is being answered quickly enough make sure that it's in the correct forum. Also, if you absolutely positively gotta know something right away -- put that in the topic with **** and stuff. And finally, consider using the "search" function on this site. Believe me a lot of questions have already been answered and are just sitting around in CBRF hell waiting to be useful again.
