I think its the reason Im alive, and the reason the limbic system in my brain motivates me to get out of bed in the morning. I also believe its behind the reason the combustion in my bike makes me go fast. Discuss your thoughts on string theory here.

I think its an interesting way of looking at things.

But I think they can prove it just as well as they can prove that a cosmic jewish zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as your savior so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree. (big time agnostic talking here)

Im not convinced, but im open to the idea.

From what I've heard, it's fiercely debated even by physicists, so I don't think I'm qualified to comment on whether it's right or not. That said, I have a suspicion that it may turn out to be both well-thought-out and wrong. It wouldn't be the first time a well-established and promising physics theory proved to be totally false. (Aether comes to mind).

I believe in a good slice of pizza, hot chicks, and my ability to get both. String theory? I don't need no stinking string theory.

Anyone think we will be disappointed when the CERN particle accelerator doens't prove what we think it should?
