What was your first bike?
Thought it would be interesting to see what moves people in CBRF have made in bikes. I started off with an 01 rebel, then got an 03 Spirit 750. in 05 I moved to a VTX1300.
I hit my midlife crisis early at 34 and got an 87 F1. I love the bike - no one else in my city has an f1 and it (so far) has been really fun to ride. Cornering is much better than any of my previous cruisers. I like the nostalgia of the F1 though - the bike that made so many advancements.

1970 Yamaha 200cc two stroke scrambler. It was 6 months old. I was 16. I bought it for $400 and drove it a year and sold it for $350. Pretty reasonable transportation.

First bike I ever rode? A 1985 Honda Spree ("Nifty Fifty"):

49cc, and only required a CLass L license. If you rode with a tailwind, you could get the thing up to 38MPH. It didn't get headshakes, it got BIKEshakes.
The airbox would warp if you left the bike out in direct sunlight too long, and you'd lose vacuum pressure so the bike wouldn't work.
The first bike that was personally MINE? See my sig; it's a very slight upgrade.

RM50 dirt bike, to KZ1000 at age 16, FZR600, VFR700, Interceptor then CBR600 F2. riding on and off but very happy with F2 considering price with newer bikes. F2 hang with the rest given experience and if you dump it fortunately knock on wood have not since riding. F2 will not cost u like newer bikes.
