I would do EXACTLY what you did .. nothing at first but then get furious and medevil on them on cbrforum later when I got home.
+1. It sucks because you feel like something should be done to prevent this guy from doing more stupid **** on the road, but you did the right thing. Never forget how vulnerable you are while riding. Pissing someone in a car off is incredibly dangerous.

someone already said it... but if it was me it would have been bye bye mirror as i passed. and for people saying retaliation is dangerous... a car is gonna keep up with a bike on some country roads? i think not.

^^^ A very dangerous game indeed ..also if you think a well driven car cant keep up with a bike on a country road I would think again ..its all about rider skill and driver skill, how good are you in the bends versus the car?? .. so you kick his mirror off, inflame him to kill then put yourself in front of him .. why do that??

Ya did good HC, or at least better than i. If iwere in that spot, the guy would still probably be on the side of the road coughing up those rocks. Then again im not that smart, and been in a foul mood of late.

I think you did the right thing but man think of all the things you could have done. lol I always think about doing something but never do. I have a couple times dropped things on cars that are just being dumb like that but always regretted it. What if THEY call the cops? Now its a couple of guys in a cars word against your rebel motorcycle word. Who do you think is getting the talking to now? Ask my wife, I tend to just control it nowadays because I have been that guy that is just getting even and I'm the one who gets in trouble. Good job with the self control. You are a model representative of the motorcycle community!

Correction.. i did NOT say that i WOULD take the mirror off. i said i would have wanted to, but decided against it.

And personally, i WOULD want to be in front of them. not behind. because if they are really looking to start something, they can slow down with you, or slow you down. if you stop on the side, so can they. your only hope then would be to do what is suggested by the MSF for dealing with a dog... slow down, then tear *** right by.

at least if your in front you have an exit that doesn't require a U turn. Also, losing a tail has nothing to do with speed and everything to do with being smart and maneuvering. also forcing your tail to make a mistake at some point.
