Hey everyone I am looking to by some new gear for the street and was wondering what everyone is unsing and if they like it or not,

I like the idea of those 2 piece Joe Rocket Razor textile suit but I'm not sure if it was desinged like a light race suit or just to look like one

all opinions would be greatly appreciated .

 

Textile Suits will never have the same abrasion qualities as leather, but are often abit more practical. I went with leather once it was broken in it was really comfortable and i`ve tested it in a small `incident` on a track, Had no problems,

 

I am wearing a textile Joe Rocket Ballistic Lightspeed, awesome jacket, well worth the price. A few people I ride with went and bought the same jacket after checking it out.

I have a Rino Leather jacket, an old Joe Rocket Balistic jacket, and some REALLY OLD Dainese two peice leathers for the track.

I am looking for something that I will where for going to work and weekend rides I work in the next town over from mine and on the weekends I like to take the twisties far away.

I think I am starting to lean towrds a new two piece leather suit

 

Textile jacket , Draggin' Jeans and Dainese gloves for weekend rides.
Soon to be Dainese jacket , gloves and boots with Draggin' Jeans for weekend rides.

 

i rock a joe rocket mesh with liner out in summer and in in winter
no leathers yet but im lookin for a kick *** full set on abudget price
anyone recommend anything decent?

 

I have a Joe Rocket Reactor tex/leather jacket and Alter Ego tex pants for riding to work and other riding. They zip together and each have venting and a zip in/out liner for cooler weather. They have worked pretty well even on hot days. I also just invested in a full leather Speedmaster suit for when I hit the back roads hard. The leather will definately provide better protection than the tex.

 

So far I have:

HJC AC-11 helmet.

Joe Rocket Phoenix mesh gloves for warm weather.
Teknic Chicane leather gloves for cool weather.

Icon superduty boots.

Joe Rocket Phoenix mesh jacket for warm weather.
Alpinestars T-stunt mesh/textile for cool weather.

Draggin Jeans for casual/everyday riding.
Shift kevlar jeans for casual/everyday riding.
Icon Superduty cargo pants for casual/everyday riding.

Icon field armor for my legs that I wear under the riding jeans when I want to get alittle more agressive or go for a nice weekend ride.

 

I wear a Joe Rocket Razor. I was going to buy leather but I stopped in at a Yamaha dealer to look at helmets for the wife and saw this jacket, it was on sale for half price so I couldn't say no. I am really impressed with the level of protection that it has. I haven't been down with it (and I hope that I never do!) but I feel that as long as it isn't any really insane crash I should be fine.
BTW they had the gloves that I had already ordered there for $99.00. I found them online for $33.00 including shipping! They just came in yesterday and I am sooooo impressed! The add does not do them justice. They are Gericke Comps. They are worth checking out!

 

i own a dainese talos jacket, been worn a coupla times but gonna start wearing it fulltime not that i know what crashing feels like, shoei moor xr-1000, crappy fox motocross gloves or my old bmx gloves. gonna invest in a proper pair soon. boots also coming soon.
