My Office:

My Office:

I work for the fire dept. part time running misc. errands, and I'm a student full time. Planning on being a full time paid firefighter.
Third year Electronics Engineering Technology student. In the mean time I bench check and repair avionics systems like auto pilot, navigation, compass and all of the indicators found in the flight deck "**** pit".
I work for a bank and specifically credit card processing...i.e. merchant accounts.
My duties?
Motivating and keeping track of our sales reps.
Risk management. Not the assessing but the calling the people, and "coaxing" them into line.....by various means.
Keep the local office LAN system and general office computers humming.
Do some networking, by various means.
Create, suggest marketing and business strategies to increase the bottom line.
Keep my multi-millionare boss, who has the tendency to blow his top at secretaries, other workforce, and even his kids.
I keep him grounded and in reality for the most part.
Also, check into other business opportunities.
Etc. Etc.
Been there for 2 years and 2 months now.
Right now I'm hourly plus bonuses. In a good week, I have made as much as $75 an hour.
But.....
Starting in Jan 08, I go full time, still as a 1099 self-employed member of the corp., but salaried at about 50k...32 hour work week.
$30+ hourly...consistently.
My toy collection will definitely improve.
As will my donations to worthwhile projects, both business and humanitarian.
Sound pretty boring I know, but not bad for a guy who never finished college.
