What a clown!

RE: What a clown!
Yeah I've noticed some Busa guys are a little snobby but STILL they're on sport bikes when it comes down to it and they especially have no excuse either! I had a Busa fly past me on I-75 Saturday night when I was already running about 80mph (open road btw) and was almost immediatley humbled on my F4i. I realize some people can't wave if your rounding a corner or whatever but when I make EYE CONTACT with them and just keep goin, that pisses me off. I hold back my middle finger because I don't want to be an *** myself but I'm still very capable of smokin' a pack of two-wheeled riding mowers if need be lol.

Sigh. Another Harley-bashing thread. So some of them are jerks. Most aren't. I ride one of the few sport bikes in my area, everyone else ride Harleys. And you know what, almost everyone of them waves or nods when we pass. They do have loud pipes, most of them. But the guys I'd love to have caught were a couple squids on what sounded to be 600RR's of some ilk with aftermarket pipes screaming around Havre at 1:30 in the morning. Nah, couldn't be. Sportbikers would never make noise and inconvenience other people. Nor would they pop wheelies down the middle of main street. Or blast down city streets at 70 mph. Or drag race from stoplight to stoplight.
As for posers - anyone ever see someone on a sportbike with the appropriate uniform - jacket, gloves, boots, helmet with all the logos and colors - riding under the speed limit and slowing for curves? Or just shining the bike up and riding down to the local parking area to stand around looking cool? Hmmm. Nah, wouldn't happen.
Show a little maturity and realize that there are different bikes for different folks but the same reason for riding - it's fun.
DRam: sportbike poser. Got the bike, got the clothes, got one-ince chicken strips, love riding the bike. Hmm. Maybe that should be my signature.

i was only talking about this one particular *******, almost every other H-D'er will wave at me. and while i may not car for harley reliability, i have nothing else against the bikes, nor any other kind of motorcycle. i personally wave at anything on 2 wheels, and also at girls, you have to wave at girls ^_^
Ah. My apologies. I over-reacted to your post. Actually, if you really pushed me I'd have to admit that the sound of a straight piped Harley ripping by is very annoying and makes me wish to tell the idiot on the bike that it's okay to have mufflers on your bike.

RE: What a clown!
my parents had motorcycles when they were younger, and not knowing much about new bikes they bought a harley road king last year. they are the full dressers, and nothings better than a harley. UNTIL a few weeks ago when my mom decided she wanted a bike. The woman with no riding cloths that don't say harley....decided harleys were too expensive for not as much bike, and bought a V-Star...lol.
Most of the harley guys down here in SC, are ok. I talked to a few of the 40 somethins here, and when they were younger all had honda's and suzuki's because they didn't have 20 large to drop on a bike for a chrome piece with a logo. So when they see us they say it just reminds them of being young with more courage than sense

I don't let the actions of a few influence my perception of an entire group. I also don't let this type of thing affect the enjoyment of my ride. I wave, and if they don't wave back then so be it. Everyone rides for their own reasons, and I have no problem with that. As long as it doesn't endanger anyone, who cares about what a person rides, wears or has a tattoo on their arm?
