RE: we went down today.
Crenshaw - What other gear do you usually wear for running around town? We also had bluejeans and boots on.
Bornluckee - that was my very 1st thought when I picked the bike up and saw the road rash.
Everyone else - thanks again for your concern and wishes. We are both fine. Both our employer's told us to just take today and chill, so I'm sure I'll have pics later.

Just making the point that full gear would include proper lower protection in the form of riding specific jeans/leathers and riding specific boots.
Sorry, not trying to split hairs or be an *** here, but lots of people are saying full gear and only meaning helmet jacket and gloves... which is not the case.

noyou're not being an *** - I was sincerely wondering what else gear we should have been wearing.
While neither of our boots were designed for riding they would both pass in an industrial environment. As for the bluejeans. Well, we were at work and not planning to have a wreck :-)

Tx:
Sorry to hear about the bike. Very glad you and hubby are OK though.
Well, now is the time to "upgrade rather than replace" if your exhaust cannister got scratched (I almost said "if your can got busted", but caught myself, ) get the Yoshi, or 2Bro's
Maybe it's time for some custom paint, and some flushmounts.
Hopefully you can make lemmonade out of this lemmon situation, and come out making the bike more "your own"
As soon as you and Hubby are phisically able, thake his RR out for a spin, you don't want to get psyched out by the fall, while you wait for your bike to get fixed.
