I know what you're talking about. Hell Harbor freight sells them.
They just tack weld little metal sticks and then you put a slide hammer on them. Then grind them off.

Only other cheaper place I fount a tank is Carolina Bikes and they want $450 for a new tank.

I'd wait. I see semi new vfr tanks start at $50 and dont sell.

Thing is I always see yellow tanks but never any red tanks. Red F4 is a bitch to find Ebay OEM parts for.
And the ones I do find are dented. So its like...whats the point?
