Vultus from Honda......ummmmm

According to Faster and Faster (if you don't already subscribe):
Does the Vultus make any sense whatsoever? Well, it doesn't have to! Like Keita Mikura says, Honda are big enough to do whatever the hell they want to, and that they can build a bike just because they want to. And isn't that, cool?
Kind of sounds like the old H1s and H2s doesn't it? Makes absolutely no sense, but just "because we can."

But at least the H1 and H2 were proper bikes - this thing is just a rehash of their last failure - almost as though the designers are saying "we know we were right but maybe too soon." Sure Honda are big enough to do what they like - trouble is THEY DON'T DO WHAT WE LIKE................surely a revamped CBR1000F with more power, ABS, injection and more modern trickery would make more sense than trying to appeal to the scooter brigade. At least a 1000F would sell, as for this thing I'm not sure they know their world markets as well as they think.
As a styling exercise to see what is possible, fine. Don't think that anyone will be pulled away from Harley twins to ride that, as avand garde as it may look (except for the stupid backrest)
Honda need a high speed tourer - there's nothing currently on the market that fits that niche - certainly not this thing......................
And if they brought out a rehashed H1 or 2 in a more rigid frame, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. THAT was an iconic machine !
